Course Overview
Safeguarding means protecting people from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, coercion and preventable harm while preserving their rights, independence and control.
This course teaches support workers how to recognise visible and subtle warning signs, respond appropriately to disclosures, identify co-tenant and worker-related risks, protect immediate safety and report concerns without conducting their own investigation. It also examines how accurate documentation and incident reviews can prevent harmful patterns from continuing.
